The Prince Raden Saleh Palace, Cikini

Prince Raden Saleh's Palace in Cikini, is located in the street bearing his name and once also encompassed a prayer house built in 1860 and a zoo.

Upon moving to Bogor, Prince Raden Saleh sold the palace and donated large parts of his originally 100 hectares of land for a large public zoo to be established. Please follow the link above to our page "History of the Palace."

Today only very few personal items from Prince Raden Saleh remain at his palace, such as his desk and favorite chair, and his wife's chair.
